Cost Breakdown Structure CBS

The Cost Breakdown Structure chart goal is to show what should be delivered to the customer at every contact point. This includes the description of the product package from the Product Breakdown Structure that is planned to be delivered. It may contain some more information such as priorities, amount to pay, and much more.
The chart is used later on at the development stage to decide what can be delayed and what is crucial to deliver.
The elements are based on the PBS and are at a higher level to present the deliverable package at every phase. Some more elements may be added such as infrastructure preparation or other customer-oriented activities. This schema is used to communicate between the producer and the client.
The Contract Breakdown Structure chart goal is to show what should be delivered to the customer at every contract point as described in the chart. Each Contract Package includes which parts or Product Packages of the PBS would be delivered as written in the contract of the project. Each of the Contract Breakdown Structure packages has a dictionary description including:
Which part of the project as defined in the Product Breakdown Structure are planned to be delivered to the customer
The due date for delivery
Amount due to pay
Penalties evaluation in case the company needs to postpone the delivery
What should the customer prepare to implement this process?
Reduce penalty cost actions (do you want to know how?).

The Contract Breakdown Structure is one of the project presentations for executive management to analyze the project status.
