Functional Analysis Decomposition and Composition

Introduced in PMI conference 2014 by Gideon Koch

FADAC

Functional Analysis Decomposition and Composition is a method to design project deliverables, such as a product, based on a decomposition of the requirements functions and composition phase step conspiring alternative evaluation and risk assessment to complete the project on time, budget and quality.

Functional Analysis Decomposition and Composition include:

Alternative Assessments

Alternatives must be presented on every issue. If it is a development process, operating factors and the content of the product on its various assembliesץ

Technical validation

When choosing technological alternatives one should check whether they perform the required in the desired quality. A broad assessment of technological alternatives should be done including collaborations if possible to save costs, time to market, and quality.

Risk evaluation

It is important to find the hazards and prepare accordingly. Risk assessment is an important factor in the success of the project. Prepare in advance for any risk whose assessment exceeds an agreed rate.

Content

The content of the product must be characterized according to the stakeholders and the real need, including the timing that we want to present to the customer.

Cost

Accuracy in presenting the cost to the customer is an important factor in the continuity of project receipt. The process of changing costs throughout the life cycle of a project is a poor process that does not add to the quality of the organization and the desired reputation.

Scheduling estimation

Like the requested accuracy regarding the cost of the project, accuracy in the timing of the pricking stages is no less important. The customer expects to receive the contents on time and any non-compliance with the schedules will result in a reduction in the supplier's reputation as well as claims for compensation and a reduction in profits.
